Hiking and Biking in the Andes

if you are the one that is looking for to have some adventure in the Andes, looking for to be out of the beaten path, then this is the kind of activities that you are looking for, because you can choose from alternative trails hat can take you to Machupicchu to the most common destinations like Qosqo Sacred Valley and Machupicchu; but  combining your tours  whit some activities like hiking or biking.

There are three mountain ranges in Qosqo. The Vilcabamba, which is defined by the catchment areas of the Urubamba and Apurimac rivers and includes the Salkantay massif (6272 m) , the Vilcanota range, With Ausangate, the highest peak in the region (6378 m), and the Urubamba chain, with the snowy peaks of Sawasiray (5800 m), and the Waccac willca or Veronica.

Contrasting with the high peaks, the northern and eastern areas of Qosqo are characterised by cloud forest and humid tropical forest. It is here one finds the Amazon Manu National Park, and the Tambopata National Reserve, Peru's finest natural reserves and among the most biodiverse regions on Earth.

Remember that those parks can be reached after just a thirty minute flight from Cusco,  eader  Puerto Maldonado or Manu.
