EQUATOR TRAVEL FOR CHILDREN

Tour and activities are designed to fit the needs of children 8 and above.

Educational lectures are shortened, activities are age-appropriate and kid-friendly food choices are available

We'll meet you in Quito and transport you to your 4* hotel for the night. Tap water is filtered, so you can brush your teeth with it, although we provide bottled drinking water in every room. On to the "middle of the earth" to learn about the equator and then to the town of Mindo, where we start our birdwatching activities. Short hikes and ziplines are sure to keep your active child interested. On to the famous Otavalo market for a day of shopping for those funny hats and other treasures. Our group will spend the day at a mountain spa dotted with pools of naturally heated water. Parents can take turns watching each other's children, while getting optional massage services or hike the nearby canyon for more birdwatching. Back to Quito for the night and then a full day at either Antisano or Cotopaxi Volcano, for birdwatching and other activities. Our final activity will be a day-long community service project with a local school.
